The past few weeks have been nothing short of a blur! We officially placed our house on the market here in Louisiana and at the same time trying to find a home in Dallas. The housing market in Dallas moves super fast, so until we have an accepted offer on our current home, we really cannot be serious about an offer in Dallas.
We have had an open house and a few showings, and according to our Realtor, from the open house, we have a few that were interested and trying to get pre approved. Luis did well and already did our homework of getting us pre approved for the Dallas home. A regular pre approval process is a bit longer than the one with our relocation process - we get an expedited service in that sense.
One of the most difficult things I am working through at the moment is being so stressed and trying to be healthy. Right now in Louisiana it is Mardi Gras season, which means king cakes everywhere. When we are stressed we do not crave healthy foods normally, and especially not whenever there is a King cake everywhere. Pretty much 4 out of 7 days of the week I have had a small piece of King cake. I am also paying for all of that extra sugar intake with extremely bad headaches!!! This week, after speaking with our Realtor in Dallas, I feel a lot better about a lot of things. I think stress will not be as bad as the past two weeks.
The search to find a replacement for me is going still. I have 2 strong candidates so far. I have 1 strong candidate for the office manager position and 1 okay candidate. I just want the best for the office that I currently work in, I feel like it is part of me.
Since we have been having a lot of showings, Mango and Rico have been doing very well in car rides. Rico still likes to meow very loudly whether he is in the front with Luis, back with me, or in the back with Mango and I both. He will for sure require kitty xanax for the final move to Dallas. Oddly enough, even though today was Saturday, we had not one showing call. We shall see what Sunday holds for us. Everyone please say a prayer that our house sells fast so we can move on to the 2nd phase of this move!
